Annual Summer Bonfire
Summer's here! Let's celebrate together at the annual bonfire Wednesday, August 20 from 6-9pm at Bolsa Chica Beach. Signups for potluck items coming soon! We're going to beef up the traditional hot dog fare with beans, potato salad and more!

Adults/SUSHI at LBRM
Friday, August 22 join us while we serve at the Long Beach Rescue Mission. Meet us at the mission at 5pm to prepare and serve dinner to the guests and residents. |

River Run for the Homeless!
Walkers, Bikers, Runners Needed: Join us as we help the LB Rescue Mission raise funds thru the LB Marathon on Sunday Oct 12. This is the first year for the LB Rescue Mission to be involved and they hope to raise at least $25,000 for additional housing.
They will host a “Fun Run” of 3.2 miles for families, a 5K bike tour, 10K race, 1/2 Marathon and Full 26 mile Marathon. We need runners, bikers and walkers plus volunteers for the Expo Friday and Saturday and the race. Lynne Bostwick will be organizing our teams. Watch for details. Put your FAITH IN ACTION this fall! Tie on your tennis shoes and get on the team. |
Kenya Mission - 2009
Pastor Jim and Karin will be leading a team of 8 to Kenya in May 2009. We will stay in a guest house by the base of operations for Heavenly Treasures livelihood projects and work with Kamba Kids Orphanage. The trip will end with a safari! The cost is approx $4,000 per person depending on current fuel costs. We will be fund raising from outside the church as a team. If you're interested talk with Jim or Karin. Pray to see how you might partner with us, to join the team or to begin praying with us and help our fund raising efforts.
