Understanding God’s Plan For Us
Interested in eternal life? If God were to ask you, “Why should I let you into My heaven?”, how would YOU answer? Would you offer your good works? That’s risky! How “good” is “good enough?”
In His love, God has provided a way for us to know Him personally—right now—and inherit heaven when we die. The answer is in His “instruction manual,” the Bible. Interested? What does God want us to know about our soul and His heart? Read on and discover…
Man’s Nature…
Romans 3:10, "There is none righteous, no, not one”
Romans 3:23, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
Result of Sin…
Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Ephesians 2:1-2, “And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience”
God's Solution…
John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:18, "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
1 Corinthians 5:21, “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
Only One Way…
John 14:6, "Jesus said…"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
1 Timothy 2:5, “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”
John 17:3, “And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
God’s Offer…
Acts 3:19, "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."
Romans 10:9-10, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation."
Romans 10:13, "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Revelation 3:20, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."
Man’s Benefit…
Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you’ve been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
Psalms 103:12, "As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us." God is merciful. Through forgiveness, He completely separates our sins from us and He no longer holds them against us.”
2 Corinthians 5:17, "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
John 1:12, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name."
Ephesians 1:13, "In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory."
Want To Receive Christ Now?
Prayer is just talking to God. Here’s a suggested “conversation”:
"Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Thank you God.”
